Sterile Saline Unit Dose Vials are disposable, single-use respiratory therapy vials filled with saline solutions designed for patient inhalation. The saline solutions are sterilized to ensure patient safety and to help avoid cross-contamination.
This sterile, single-use device is intended to be used as an accessory to medicinal nonventilatory nebulizers for respiratory therapy or for tracheal irrigation or lavage therapy. This medication is used to help you cough up mucus (sputum) in your lungs. It may also be used to mix with other medications inhaled using a special machine called a nebulizer. Saline nebulization may provide some respiratory relief used alone or as an adjunct to more aggressive systemic drug therapy.
